Ever had Alaskan salmon you have caught yourself?
By vwlp on February 1st, 2008
I recently tasted my first fresh fish that I caught myself. It was Alaskan salmon and outstanding. When I went to fish for salmon in Alaska I got to be in the clean fresh air of Alaska and have some great tasting fresh fish. I had no idea of the difference in taste.
Improve your boating experience with a marine gps chartplotter
By zoogie on August 30th, 2007
Navigation is a major consideration to boaters, and using a marine gps chartplotter can make your boating experience so much better. While most people are familiar in general with what gps means, not many are familiar with the term marine gps chartplotter. I wasn’t, until very recently. Like their gps counterparts that are used in cars, a marine gps chartplotter can help you plot out navigation information to ensure you have a safe and pleasant trip. You have probably heard many stories of boaters losing their direction and ending up lost. When I lived in Florida, we will hear of incidents like this on the news quite frequently. There were even several cases where families had gotten lost with young children aboard, and had to be rescured. But the chartplotter is not just for directions. For those avid fishermen out there, it can also help you pinpoint where the best spots are and save it for future trips. Boy, my granddad would have loved that!
